"I wanted to become a "DOCTOR!"

Today I write because of the death of three lives snuffed out...and one was a child who was very intelligent and as described by her family (LIGHT).  The family members state to reporters that they did not see anything wrong that the alleged perpetrator was a fun, loving, kind of guy.  There seem to be conflicting stories as to whether they were planning on marriage or were already married.

The alleged suspect was a Mr. Joseph Smith 32 years of age.  In relative terms a "young" man.  There are also allegations that he also had a mistress or girlfriend that was found dead in a hotel in nearby East Point, Ga.  outside of Atlanta.  The young girl who was killed is 12 years of age a student that was doing very, very well at the local KIPPS Academy and she aspired to become a doctor.

Her mother a newly-wed and now loss of child and her life that is pointing toward "domestic  violence!"  What are the "red flags" that were present in this relationship that the family members did not see.  Was it possible that they were there....but did not recognize what they were?

The other woman involved whose life is also lost in this triangle, did her family members see the "red flags" and ignored them?  There are so many questions because of how this terrible incident played out......how does the first daughter of the suspect cope, knowing that her dad is the murderer of  two women and a child just a few years younger than she is?  I pray that all of these  families seek out "counseling", for there is much healing needed in this scenario.  Below is an excerpt by the Atlanta Police Department Public Affairs Officer K.Y.Jones regarding the case.

Sunday, September 23rd) Atlanta Police are continuing to investigate a triple murder in Southwest Atlanta on Sunday morning.  The 32-year-old suspect, Joseph Smith, was arrested at 593 Morrow Lane where officers also found two dead victims.
According to CBS Atlanta, the Atlanta Police say that this suspect is connected to a body found earlier in the day in an East Point Motel.  East Point investigators are working with the Atlanta Police Department on the investigation.
Public Affairs Officer K. Y. Jones:
Shortly before 9:00 this morning, the Atlanta Police Department received a call stating an individual was inside a dwelling on Morrow Lane and that he had possibly killed multiple people. SWAT and the Hostage Negotiation Team was notified and responded to the scene. Shortly thereafter a subject was taken into custody without incident. Homicide arrived on scene and found two victims deceased at the location. We believe this incident is related to a homicide in East Point. The Atlanta PD and East Point PD are working the investigation jointly.
Cascade Patch will update with more details as they become available
