Counting Blessings One by One! WOW!

Today, is a very special day to me as mentioned before it is the First Year Anniversary of my Radio Talk Show...first aired December 23, 2010.  Today is to be a day of reflection, gratefulness and anticipation of the next year.

I begin the day feeling good and have a luncheon date with friends at the Olive Garden at Stonecrest Mall.  As I am enroute to the mall I am playing  Jennifer Hudson's "I'm Feeling Good!"  It is playing loud and I am singing as if I am a professional!  LOL  As I near the mall area I hear something weird.....yes that sound right before "flap, flap, flap."   Unfortunately, as I realize it is a flat tire I am trying to make it to a place of safety because I am in a very bad spot to have a disabled vehicle.   Terrible damage would happen to the rim if I try to go further up the hill and it is better to pull over here and get out of the car.  Cars are whizzing by me and I am thinking that I need an officer here to help with this situation.

Shortly after getting out of the car and trying to call AAA an officer is coming towards the car in the same lane and he immediately pulls up and stop behind me and get out and ask, "Do you have someone coming to fix this?"  Yes, I do I am on the phone with AAA.  You would have to understand how I came to be a AAA customer to understand the significance in making sure that I mention them.  The first two calls were dropped and frustration tried to set in.  However, it was windy and I got back in the car now that the officer's car was there with blue lights on.  I was advised that someone would arrived within thirty (30) minutes, I went to the officers car and advised him that they were enroute. 

I shared a little colleague information with him and he smiled and called me lucky....no I AM BLESSED.  He proceeded to tell me that he would be with me until the tow truck arrived.   As I am sitting there and watching as the cars are flying by us I realized that another officer came and was in the median lane facing the opposite direction with his lights on and as I looked through my rear view mirror I could see another officer right before the curve with his lights on and people began to slow down dramatically.  I thought I had one angel watching over me and I had three!  (1)  Thanks Officer Peeler and two other fellow officers! 

A call comes in from the towing technician that he is just a few minutes away.  He arrives and I SMILE and he smiles back and ask, "How are you doing?"  My reply, "much better now that you are here",  he instructs me to get into his truck and I did.  He was very professional and we chatted enroute to the Sam's Club, and our conversation ended in "GOD works in mysterious ways!"  Eric made sure that they would be able to assist me with the repair of the tire before he took the car off of the bed of the truck, also as I was sitting there waiting, I did not realize the lights were on, switch turned the wrong way to save power and the hazard lights were on...needless to say a drained battery.  However, I jump down from in the truck and go inside to make sure that they will be able to repair my tire and charge the battery.....they would see if it was possible.

I come back outside to the driver and advise him that they will be able to take care of me and he proceeded to lower the car.  I thanked him and wished him well. (2) Thanks Eric

The young ladies that I am suppose to me are waiting to see if I am going to be able to come and are constantly checking on me! SMILE  Adriane Michelle calls to see if I need for her to pick me up at Sam's Club, yes I do.  She picks me up and we return to the Olive Garden I arrive and see two dear people.
  Mayor Tonya Peterson and Ms. Tiana Ferrell...beautiful sisters!  I proceed to chat with the ladies and these gifts begin to come out!?  Tiana brings homemade Gingerbread cookies, and Adriane Michelle with special bath salts and personally made tree ornament for me!  WOW!  What a surprise!  We had an incredible time of sharing and speaking things into existence for 2012.  (3) Thanks Adriane Michelle, Mayor Tonya Peterson and Tianna Ferrell!

As we are leaving the restaurant I get a phone call and a young man tells me that my tire is all torn up inside?   Therefore this means I need a new tire....question asked do you have a spare, no I don't think so?   The cost of a new tire was.....not happening!  The young man advised that he would see if I had a spare and re-charge the battery if possible.  Adriane Michelle and I are going into one of the local stores around the mall to pick up some items and I received a call from the young man that it seems he can't help me....SERIOUSLY!?    I called AAA back and advise that I need a truck to come back and pick me up and take us home.

In the middle of the next dispatched truck enroute to me I get a call from Armond Jackson and he said that he found a spare and that he could re-charge the battery.  I asked him if I could cancel the service call to AAA and he said that I could.  LOOK AT GOD!  I called the technician and told him to cancel...he asked are you sure?  I said yes I am sure.  I love AAA's Customer Service Quality Control Procedure, shortly afterwards someone else called to see if I really wanted to cancel and confirm if everything was okay, I advised that all is well and thank you.  Upon arriving to the Sam's Club, I ask for Armond and he tells me of a couple of issues with the battery...no!  However, this young man called and informed me of each challenge...very professional and patient.  He asked if I had cables, no. 

Adraine went inside of Sam's and of course bought a couple of things and as we returned to the bay area Armond gives me a thumbs UP!  I asked him are you my "angel" today?  He quickly replied, "YEP!"  I laughed...he SMILED!  LOOK AT GOD!  (4)  Thank you Armond Jackson!

I am counting these blessings out because EVERY ONE OF THEM WERE TOTALLY UNEXPECTED TODAY AND THEY WERE JUST WHAT I NEEDED WHEN I NEEDED THEM!  My consciousness now is in a place to not allow any blessing pass me by no matter how BIG or small.



As I sit back and blog this day, there seemed to have been trials to STEAL MY JOY because today is so SPECIAL to me, but throughout the entire day my JOY was in place and GRATEFULNESS was my stance.

Take the time to see your blessings in the middle of your trials....THEY ARE THERE THEY ARE THERE!


Now, I will think of the bath soak, sip on some tea and have gingerbread coooookies!

HALLELUJAH! PRAISE GOD!  I AM BLESSED!
P.S. If you look at it the way I SEE IT...ANGELS WERE ALL AROUND ME TODAY, ALL AROUND ME!

GRATITUDE

Angels In Distress "Transition from Domestic Violence"  Radio Show has reached it's First Year Anniversary!  December 23, 2011! Father GOD thank you so much for your guidance, direction, change and stretching!   The angels you have blessed me with I am truly grateful for.  As I reflect on the moment the seed was planted by Adriane Michelle aka (Adriane Harden, Ms. Fight for Truth), it took off like a jet enroute to a destination that I had no idea it would go.  GOD bless you Adriane in all of your endeavors!  The show went to another level with the gentle hand of Professor Roland Hinds, I never would have envisioned where I am now as a Talk Show Host!  GOD bless you as well.  This last year has been one of the most incredible, challenging, pushing, faith-walking year of my LIFE regarding service and obedience to doing what GOD has charged me to do.

This is why I blog this today, there are people  I am sure are looking back on this year and it has been challenging in areas of finances, homes, employment and valued health.  However, if you will just think about the things that brought a smile to your face, a laugh to your heart, a tear to your eyes whether the tears were happy  and especially if they were from pain. The tears released from pain or hurt were very purposeful.  Tears that are released from pain, hurt, and disappointment helps to cleanse and purify our heart. As the heart heals....it prepares you to become vunerable to explore love again with a heightened awareness of the issues it holds. 

Surround yourself with friends and family this holiday season that support, care and love you in spite of yourself.  These are the people who help you to grow, stretch and excel and catapult you into your DESTINY. 


My prayer is that your holidays are filled with abundant love......simple unadulterated LOVE.  Embrace it in a way that you did as a child when your world was filled with EXPECTANCY, dreams of GRANDURE, and a no STOPPING ME NOW.....state of being. STRANGERS.....really who are THEY!? Tribute to honor Little Jorelys

There are things that parents teach their children....
1.  How to eat, walk,talk, play, write, ABC's etc.  The good things yes?

2.  Do NOT talk to STRANGERS!  So who are "strangers"?

We as people do not really understand sometimes what the word stranger means...let me give you a definition from a dictionary and then I will elaborate on why I am writing about them.
a)  a person or thing that is unknown or with whom one is unacquainted b) : one who does not belong to or is kept from the activities of a group c): one not privy or party to an act, contract, or title : one that interferes without right

d) : one ignorant of or unacquainted with someone or something 

 

 

I place the definition(s) here because I want you to walk with me in this.....enlightenment.   People come in and out of our lives often and once you meet someone technically they are no longer a stranger.  However, some of those people we meet are (strange)  adults may be able to discern their spirit and recognize that something is wrong, but what about children.  Children are gifted with a sense of good and evil...I have watched them react when someone is around them that makes their spirit uneasy.

A beautiful little girl's life was taken this week in the outskirts of Atlanta, a seven year old baby who was brutally beaten, sexually assaulted and thrown in to a trash bin.  What type of person does something like that?  This is not about the perpetrator but the beautiful little girl.

Jorelys, personality comes through her pictures as a very happy, adventurous, smart, and expecting the rest of her life.  Doing the things that little children are suppose to do...play on a playground, swing on swings, slide down a sliding board or just play in sand.  On a playground near home where she was suppose to be able to play and feel "SAFE!"  

What were her hopes and dreams, did she want to be a doctor, lawyer, CEO, dentist, entrepreneur or whatever her little mind could possibly dream of being.  Those possibilities were there too for her as all children.  

When did she ever feel that she could not leave her apartment go to the playground and not play and just have fun as children do on a playground?

How is it that on a beautiful Friday afternoon a seven year old child is abducted and horrific things are done to her little body by a MONSTER?

Where do we as a society begin to really pay attention to one another and protect our innocent children and remember that it truly does take a village to help raise them in a safe and secure environment?

Who do we blame for the ills of the world today and why do we not WAKE UP and become more aware of our surroundings and especially for our children.

Today in this world there is so much that is depicted and referenced to 'SEX' you can not turn on the television without anything almost having a sexual implication attached to it.  Have we become so obsessed with sex that we can not do, see, buy, eat, or talk about without sex being involved?  SERIOUSLY, there is a perversion in the land and the enemy is running rampant.  What man looks at a 7 year old child and feels that she can be SATISFYING SEXUALLY to him and not separate the difference that she is NOT a WOMAN!?

I remember in college in our Psychology class how our Professor gave  us an assignment regarding "advertisements" and we were given different (supposed) everyday items and magazines to bring to class.   We brought the items in and really wanted to know how was this going to teach us about SEX.  As the professor turned the pages of various magazines he showed us page after page of ads that were subliminally imposing sex.  It was amazing to see the ad for a vehicle driving through a hillside but if you looked closer you would see that it was suggestive that they were a woman's breast.  A alcohol ad being very explicit in a glass with supposed ice cubes....it was truly and EYE OPENER!

On the side of spray deodorizing cans  imprints of penises, and even movies that children watch regularly shapes of penises,   in a lot of the children popular movies and the sexual subliminal messages are there.  I was SHOCKED to say the least and came home and pulled all of the movies and watched and to my surprise.....YES IT WAS THERE!  Trash they went once destroyed so that no other children could use them.  I became more aware of which magazines  I would buy according to the advertisers they would use.

The subconscious is very powerful and can and will effect the way we think, and process things.  Again, I ask when are we as a society going to wake up and realize that "WE" are the problem and responsible for our children.  If we watched after all children as if they were our own...perpetrators would not have a chance.

When we left home, a neighbor a block away was watching us, two blocks another, four blocks another neighbor was watching and if they thought anything inappropriate was happening they had the RIGHT to check us.....tear our butts up too!  I am thankful today for the many people and neighbors who were in place to watch over and after me to make sure that I was safe and secure in my neighborhood.

Jorelys' young life has been taken away by a predator, stranger, or maybe someone familiar.  Does it mean that a person is not a stranger because you see them regularly?   How long had he watched her, coerced her or made himself seem friendly?

We teach our children to NOT talk to STRANGERS but who really are these STRANGERS!?  They are sometimes the people who walk AMONG US DAILY.  Teach your children to recognize in their gut if ANYONE MAKES THEM FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE.  Ask why, what did they do to make them feel that way, when did it happen and what were they doing at the time it happened?   Neighbors RISE UP!

It is time for us to come out of our little supposed perfect worlds and be diligent in taking back our communities....the children are INNOCENT and have done nothing wrong to deserve to be treated badly by BAD PEOPLE.  Organize and also screen those who are organizing with you.......THE MADNESS MUST STOP and WE MUST SAVE THE CHILDREN

Thanks GOD for my "PUSHERS!"

I SAID IT YESTERDAY....THE DAY BEFORE AND IT IS WORTH REPEATING!!  I AM BLESSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEDDDDDD!  THANK YOU FATHER GOD FOR MY ANGELS HERE ON EARTH WHOSE HANDS MY BLESSINGS PASS THROUGH TO GET TO ME!  GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN OVERWHELMING ABUNDANCE AND BLESSINGS!

Often times we do not remember our "left overs"  blessings left over behind us from GOD which were amazing miracles he bestowed upon us.  It is imperative that we remember the "broken" places we have come through and the "brokedness" which was getting us ready for the NEXT BIG BLESSING(S)!   As you look back in your life and remember some of the previous trials or tribulations you went through, know that GOD was there with you all along.

Therefore, if you are going through something right now that seems to be a 'GOLIATH" in your life.....LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER AND PIECE TOGETHER ALL OF THE PAST MIRACLES AND BLESSINGS!  This is GOD's way of showing you HIS track record, 'WINNER' every time.  You could not have made the journey without him by your side and directing your path and keeping you close to HIS bosom.  In holding you and keeping you, your mind is still sound, your body is healed, your heart is overflowing with gratitude and willing to give HIM all honor and praise!  HALLELUJAH!  There are some beautiful windows displayed in prominent places that are glued together from shattered pieces of broken windows.  However, they are some of the most beautiful works because of tenderness that put them backtogether one piece at a time. The light that shines on and through them are incredibly beautiful!   Go back and pull out your pieces....line them up and know that whatever you are dealing with today, know that this to SHALL PASS!

The beauty is knowing that when you look back after this one it lines up as one of the additions to your BEAUTIFUL WORK OF BROKEN PIECES!   Pieces to help you,  "PUSH YOU TO BELIEVE!"

FORGIVENESS IS REALLY BIG...

FORGIVENESS IS REALLY BIG...people tend to think that forgiveness is about the other person, but it is NOT. It is for YOU! Although we are charged to forgive we are not charged to reconcile or allow back into our PERSONAL SPACES. FORGIVE those whom have persecuted, lied against, despitefully used, and did wickedness towards you! The grace given is for you to move on and be TOTALLY BLESSED! HALLELUJAH! I forgave and blessings are running over me! Thank you Father!

People come into our lives and we wonder why, how, what, where, and when will they leave?  Some of them are there for an answer that you asked, "why?"  Others are there to assist you in "how" to do something.  Of course it is imperative "when" they came into your life and "what" usually is for a LESSON TO BE LEARNED.  Romans 8:28 really comes to life sometimes when you sit back and ask GOD to show you what is really going on?!  It seems as though the very people it seems were sent to help sometimes"hurt" you terribly.  However, in GOD's INFINITE WISDOM the plan is for your good to grow and build in your relationship with HIM.

One story that always encouraged me is Joseph's story of how his "own" brothers were envious and jealous of him and his gift....that was naturally given to him nothing he did to gain it.  BUT GOD, turned there wickedness into a place for Joseph to grow and develop in his heart and relationship with GOD for two years...remember in the dungeon?  However, the entire time GOD HAD HIS HANDS ON JOSEPH!  The master plan of all to show just how those who come against us in mean, unprovoked ways GOD will turn it around for our good.

I am writing this today because of a book I am reading entitled. "Total Forgiveness" by R. T. Kendall , Revised and Updated.  Obviously, I needed a little more work in this area and GOD put this book in particular in front of me.  I did not wrestled with forgiving, but do I really have to allow those same people back in my circle? Quote excerpt, " But this book is also about total forgiveness even if there is not a restoration of the relationship.  Once must totally forgive those who will not be reconciled."   This was the answer to my"why?"

"The one who gains the MOST from forgiving is the person who does the forgiving."  Pain is a very strange thing....especially when it is to our "heart!"   However, this same pain will teach us invaluable lessons...because PAIN make you PAY ATTENTION and really see what is going on.

Today, I stand in a process of FORGIVING a lot of things and stuff that has happened in my LIFE, but as I visit or re-visit and release I see the heavens OPENING UP TO ME and I know that is NOBODY BUT GOD!

Be blessed, and I suggest that you read this book as well if you are dealing with some people or stuff that has happened to you and you feel you can not forgive it.  Yes you can!

Another excerpt, "It is comforting to know that GOD freely and totally forgives all of our sins and will never tell what HE knows"  Now this is a reason for us to TOTALLY FORGIVE!

May you find peace and blessings on your journey to forgiveness...trust me they are coming.
